Four of the top five players on the Official World Golf Ranking are scheduled to compete—(1) Tiger Woods, (2) Phil Mickelson, (4) Lee Westwood and (5) Jim Furyk and eleven of the top 16, including (10) Anthony Kim, (11) Padraig Harrington, (12) Camilo Villegas, (13) Rory McIlroy, (14) Geoff Ogilvy, (15) Retief Goosen and (16) Robert Allenby.
Currently 51 players who have won a PGA TOUR event in the past two years are scheduled to compete. This list includes 2010 Masters champion Phil Mickelson, 2009 Masters champion Angel Cabrera, 2009 U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover, 2009 British Open champion Stewart Cink, 2008 Masters champion Trevor Immelman and 2008 Britsh Open and PGA Championship winner Padraig Harrington.
The field also includes six of the seven past champions of the Quail Hollow—2003 David Toms, 2005 Vijay Singh, 2006 Jim Furyk, 2007 Tiger Woods, 2008 Anthony Kim and 2009 Sean O’Hair.

With the Quail Hollow Championship following golf’s first major championship by a few weeks each year, it is interesting to note that since 2003 the Masters champion has always played in Charlotte.
The field also includes 16 major champions, nine of whom have won the past two years.
The field represents 454 total PGA TOUR victories.
Eleven of the 15 winners this year are also scheduled to compete.
