CHARLOTTE, North Carolina — Sure, Tiger Woods is here, but Michael Jordan still rules this town.
Thousands swarmed tee boxes and greens on Wednesday afternoon as the new owner of the Charlotte Bobcats played in the Quail Hollow Championship pro-am.

Just as Woods talked to reporters ahead of his second tournament since his sex scandal, Jordan teed off with Fred Couples and Quail Hollow Club president Johnny Harris.

To add to the intrigue, Bobcats coach Larry Brown caught up with the group at the eighth green. He said he plans to talk to his wife in a few days before deciding if he'll return next season.

Jordan later said: "I'm not going to let him go so easily."

Jordan was up-and-down playing with Couples, who revealed he's bought Bobcats season tickets.
